What comes back

A complete card, not a photo filter.

The source photo guides the subject. Azure OpenAI handles the art direction, card writing, and finished composition.

01

Original artwork

GPT Image 2 creates new artwork from the source photo. MakeACard does not simply place the upload inside a fixed card frame.

02

Card details written for the subject

GPT-5.6 Luna creates the name, type, HP, attacks, abilities, and flavor text used on the finished card.

A finished 5:7 file

Download a 750 x 1050 PNG. The file has no dedicated bleed area or DPI metadata, so set its physical size in your print workflow.

Rarity roll

Five outcomes. Odds shown upfront.

Rarity is random. The model does not choose it based on the photo. Holo Rare and Secret Rare add digital effects to the card in the app.

How does MakeACard turn my photo into a trading card?

MakeACard uses Azure OpenAI to analyze your photo and generate a complete trading card. GPT-5.6 Luna identifies the subject and creates card metadata such as name, type, HP, abilities, and flavor text. GPT Image 2 then creates original card artwork based on the photo.

Is MakeACard free to use?

Each linked identity gets one free successful card per Asia/Kolkata day. Authenticated users can buy 10 credits for INR 149 for additional generations. Every generation creates one complete card with AI-generated artwork, stats, and a random rarity assignment.

What are the rarity odds for each card?

Every generated card gets a random rarity assignment: Common (50%), Uncommon (30%), Rare (10%), Holo Rare (7%), and Secret Rare (3%). The browser-only pack simulator uses the same odds for demonstration; multi-card AI generation is currently disabled.

Can I print the trading cards I create?

Yes. Download the 750 x 1050 PNG for home printing, or order prints in the app for INR 99 per card plus INR 49 shipping. Shipping is free from INR 390, and an order requires at least two distinct card entries. The PNG has no dedicated bleed area or DPI metadata.

What kind of photos work best?

Clear, well-lit photos with a single main subject produce the best results. Portraits of people or pets work especially well because the AI can identify features and generate relevant abilities. Action shots and group photos can work but may produce less focused card designs. Minimum recommended resolution is 512 x 512 pixels.

How are the card stats and abilities determined?

Azure OpenAI analyzes your photo's subject to generate contextually relevant stats and abilities. A photo of a cat might get abilities like "Nine Lives" or "Shadow Stalk," while a photo of a person cooking might get "Flame Sear" or "Culinary Mastery." HP and attack damage scale with rarity, and Secret Rare cards have the highest base stats.

What is different about holographic cards?

Common, Uncommon, and Rare cards have static designs. Holo Rare cards add an animated holographic shimmer overlay that responds to pointer movement or tilt on mobile. Secret Rare cards add an animated rainbow border and full-card holographic treatment. These digital effects are CSS-based and do not appear in the static PNG.

Can I create cards in bulk for events or parties?

MakeACard generates one card at a time. Each linked identity can create one free successful card per Asia/Kolkata day. For an event, invite participants to create their own card, generate over multiple days, or sign in and use paid credits. Multi-card AI pack generation is disabled.
