Get Your Rarity Roll

Every card gets a random rarity assignment the moment it's created. The odds mirror real TCG booster packs: Common (50%), Uncommon (30%), Rare (10%), Holo Rare (7%), Secret Rare (3%). Higher rarities mean better base stats, and for Holo and Secret Rare, animated holographic effects on the card itself.

A photo of a cat doesn't just get random stats. It might get "Shadow Stalk" (30 damage) and "Nine Lives" (heals 20 HP). A photo of someone cooking? "Flame Sear" and "Culinary Mastery." The AI reads the photo and generates abilities that actually make sense for the subject.

Authentic Rarity System

The 5-tier rarity system uses weighted randomization with odds designed to mimic real TCG booster pack excitement. Pulling a Secret Rare (3% chance) genuinely feels rare. And the visual payoff (animated rainbow borders, full holographic treatment) makes the pull worth it.

CSS Holographic Effects

Holo Rare and Secret Rare cards feature real-time holographic effects built entirely in CSS. No video files, no heavy assets. Common Questions

How long does it take to generate a card?
Generation usually takes about a minute. AI analyzes the photo, generates the artwork, and assembles one card while the app shows its progress.
What happens if my photo doesn't work well?
The AI handles most photos, but some produce better results than others. Blurry photos, extremely dark images, or shots with no clear subject may result in generic card designs. For best results, use a clear, well-lit photo with a single main subject. Minimum recommended resolution is 512×512 pixels.
Can I control what type or abilities my card gets?
There is no discrete style, type, or ability selector. You can add one optional free-text theme hint, while the AI determines the final artwork, type, and abilities.
Is the rarity truly random?
Yes. Rarity is assigned via weighted randomization at generation time. The odds are fixed: Common 50%, Uncommon 30%, Rare 10%, Holo Rare 7%, Secret Rare 3%. The same photo can produce different rarities if you generate multiple times. No way to game the odds.
How many cards can I create per day?
Each linked identity gets one free successful card per Asia/Kolkata day. Authenticated users can buy 10 credits for INR 149. MakeACard generates one card at a time.
